Kevin and I went camping this week to get more images & video for our paranormal blogs. Kevin is with EARS which is Enigmatic Anomalies Research Society; mine is exploring the possibly of unknown or cryptid animals.
Before we took off to do night research, kevin did a circuit on his mountain bike with a helmet mounted camera called a Gopro. He was hoping something would run in front of him, but nothing happened.
We did make a spooky discovery of a possible grave latter that night. More details soon.
Tampa Bay is known for pirates, buried treasure, golf courses, tropical beaches, and GREAT DEFENSE!

Trevor Dooley and Trevon Martin: What Justice?
Tevor Dooley being led out of his house |
In Sanford Florida a 'white' man killed a black man that may have been attacking him (the facts are not in yet). In both cases the "Stand your ground" rule was invoked. Only in one was race made an issue. Even the Presiedent got involve to defend the side of Trevon (Obama never defends the side of white people) by saying if he had a son he would look like Trevon. That was way out of bounds for a lawyer and constitutional scholar to make that statement.
TrevorDooley was on trial but I cannot find out anything about a verdict. Does anyone know what happened to this case? was it swept under the rug somehow? Its strange. Police I have talked to don't even know.
I am glad to see that George Zimmerman was granted bond today and I hope his rights are protected in court. I really hope we can stop seeing these things only on race lines.
Face it by a ratio of 87 to one a black is more likely to be killed by another black. We do not live in the world of Mississippi Burning anymore. The white man is not their enemy.
Swim across Tampa Bay for Earth Day
A 24 mile swim across Tampa Bay will begin Saturday morning at 7:00 am. The event is to honor Earth Day and celebrate one of the largest estuaries in the country.
The race will begin at the base of the Skyway bridge and end at the Courtney Campbell Causeway. There are about 70 swimmers in this Ron Collins event which is the longest open water swim sponsored by the United States Masters Swimming Association.
The reason I know about it is because I picked up a swimmer at the airport and took him to his hotel at the base of the Skyway bridge.
I think I'll go home and get my swim trunks.

Morris Claiborne scored a 4 on the wonderlic test and may have a learning disability
LSU CB draft prospect scored the lowest ever for a high prospect. A former coach said the kid has a learning disorder that affects his reading ability.
Considering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are considering taking him in the fifth pick, Should this be a problem. All the signs say no.
In the 3 day mini camp underway by the Bucs, they are using 37 year old Rondie Barber at safety, and rumors that Aquib Talib is being shopped. The Bucs are very thin in the Defense of backfield.
I say they draft Claiborne over lead pants Trent Richardson from Alabama.
Anything can happen on draft day but I hope the Bucs take this kid. Our defense has been tourched in recent years and it needs the upgrade badly.

Waiting for a fare
With spring break throughout the country coming to an end, we will experience a drop off in riders. I only hope that the floor is not as low as it has been.
Maybe a new president can get things moving. That will depend on the economy. There are no more excuses.
Florida use to be an economic hotbed. Unfortunately, we are still mired in mediocrity. Its as stagnant as the Gulf Of Mexico on a hot June day. Something has got to get going.

Headed to the Florida swamp
Those that have followed this blog know that I am involved in my own "Finding Bigfoot" project. We explore the deep swamps and look with our cameras for anything that may be moving. We also use a secret weapon.
Today kevin and I went out to deploy a Reconyx RC60 covert trail cam. With fresh batteries this camera should be good until November. The media card capacity is over 14,000 images at 3.1 Mega pixels. The motion activated cam fires an infrared strobe for great nighttime images.
As the rainy season sets in, it will become more difficult for anyone to compromise this area. We do know there are poachers in the area. That is the only thing I am worried about.
I read recently were Matt Moneymaker of the BFRO was in Torreya State park in the Florida Panhandle. That was last week. A good time of year to do this with the rainy season and the heat soon on its way. With its high bluffs overlooking the Apalachicola River it one of the most beautiful parts of Florida with actual elevation that is rare in the Sunshine State.
