I mean, you become - You get a job, you become the job. One guy lives in a shit hole, another lives on drugs. You pick up a lawyer. Another guy's a doctor. Another guy dies. Another guy gets well. People are born, y'know? Why do you want to drive Uber? You think you can avoid your destiny? You'll be a Fuck up fucking whores and taking blowjobs for fares. The spiral of your life brings you to Uber, you perverts. You think its just moonlighting? What the Fuck is that? Your cclinging to that is just you jerking off. Do you want to be a hack? Marco Rubio says screw the taxi industry in Florida and embraces Uber

Marco Rubio was looking to score a quick ride in Miami, but when he tapped his white Uber button on his smartphone, the Florida Republican came up empty. “I was bragging to someone about this service in Washington and I clicked onto my app … and up comes a message saying, ‘Sorry we can’t pick you up in Miami because the county commission won’t allow it,’” he recalled.

 That incident was the impetus for Rubio's Monday visit to Uber’s Washington headquarters, where he used the struggle of a growing and fashionable tech company to underscore his case concerning overburdensome regulations.

“We should never allow government power and government regulations to be used to protect an establishment incumbent industry at the expense of an innovative competitor,” he said. Operating in 37 U.S. cities, Uber is a transportation company that allows a customer to order a taxi, town car or SUV to a specific location with just a click of a phone app. All transactions are paperless and tips are included in the fee. The service quickly gained popularity in Washington due to frustration with the lack of available cabs in certain parts of the city and the inability to pay with credit or debit cards."

NOTE: Rubio is wrong because Uber and lift services DO NOT serve the BLACK and poor SPANISH areas (He betrays his own people). Poor people don't have credit cards Rubio. They rely on free money orders from Amscot to pay their bills. Regulatory agencies PROTECT THE POPULATION FROM CRIMINAL DRIVERS. It is a public safety issue. All taxi and limo drivers in Tampa must be cleared by an FBI background check. Your method gets around that. Would you want your wife picked up by a Rapist?

Epicurean Hotel Tampa not nice to taxi drovers

The new Epicurean hotel on south Howard in Tampa has quickly developed a bad reputation among cab drivers. They will call for a taxi, and when you arrive, they tell you your fate is already gone. This is happening so much, United Cab dispatch mostly flags the calls.

The hotel prefers to use car services like the illegal Flex Sedans. I have heard they are not charging the required $50 minimum, but charging taxi rates. That violates HCPTC rules.

How to annoy your taxi driver

When people just get in your cab I know they are just trying to be nice, but they can say things to a taxi driver that sound banal, but really just piss him off. One the things I hate is in the early morning, they will ask "What time does your shift end?" or "been on duty all night?" I really don't  know why that gets to me but when they ask "is it busy?" That really pisses me off. The reason is because it is only mouthed by some short fair mother fucker who is not going to put any money in my pocket.

Another thing cab drivers don't like hearing (especially from young women) is "Hey Mr. Taxi Driver" as a default greeting. They are usually drunk and will roar this out at regular intervals. Do I look that old that you call me sir!
 If you have been driving cab for any time at all people will ask you "Can we go to McDonald's?" Well kiss my ass goodbye for the next twenty minutes. Never mind the fact that there is nothing fast about fast food, but, the people are usually drunk and annoying and its during the bar rush of the night. There are fares I could be picking up and making money with. No way now. Since I picked these stoners up, I am now saying "Give me a number three with a coke, and a side order of extra large fries." Then, they spill most of the shit on the back seat. Special sauce from Big Macs is tough to clean up. These people are corporate lawyers by day. dick heads by night.
"Got any tunes?" That one is so messed up. The reason is they will blast the radio and you can't even hear yourself think. Then, they start asking you questions and you can't hear a thing. Its always hip hop music and it sounds like shit.
"I won't throw up" That means within minutes you are hopping a curb and yelling at them to open the door before they toss on the back seat. Some cities now have an extra charge posted on the window for throw up.
"Change for a hundred?" That means they are going to rob your ass and they want to know how much they are going to get.
"Do you take head?" That is when a drunk women has no money and she wants to prostitute herself for the fare. Some drivers I know always take the head. Lets just say, I could get head every night if I wanted. I really need the money, however.

Just another van unloading at Tampa international airport. I swear, this town has more transportation then Chicago. Most of these vans are being operated by drivers that were fired by United cab but they still want to drive for a living. So, they start these operations poaching our business. Most of these guys are bums that would be doing day labor if they weren't so lazy too work.

Stand your ground law in Florida no help for a black women

Marrisa Alexander was sentenced to 20 years in Florida prison form firing a warning shot at her abusive husband. She claimed she was standing her ground.

It seems she had been abused for years by her husband and was trying to get him to back off.

George Zimmerman shot a kid and, will use stand your ground as a defense. Casey Anthony killed her kid, and walks free. One of the first things you learn in life is there is no justice.

What did her in was Florida's "10-20-life." 10 years mandatory for the commission of a felony while using a gun. 20 years if someone is hurt. Life, if someone is killed.

Trevor Dooley and Trevon Martin: What Justice?

In the Tampa Bay area two years ago we had a black man Trevor Dooley kill a white man in cold blod. This murder was over an argument about a skate border in a public park. Because of that, a 10 year old girl will grow up without a father. No race angle was played on that.

In Sanford Florida a 'white' man killed a black man that may have been attacking him (the facts are not in yet). In both cases the "Stand your ground" rule was invoked. Only in one was race made an issue. Even the Presiedent got involve to defend the side of Trevon (Obama never defends the side of white people) by saying if he had a son he would look like Trevon. That was way out of bounds for a lawyer and constitutional scholar to make that statement.

TrevorDooley was on trial but I cannot find out anything about a verdict. Does anyone know what happened to this case? was it swept under the rug somehow? Its strange. Police I have talked to don't even know.

I am glad to see that George Zimmerman was granted bond today and I hope his rights are protected in court. I really hope we can stop seeing these things only on race lines.

Face it by a ratio of 87 to one a black is more likely to be killed by another black. We do not live in the world of Mississippi Burning anymore. The white man is not their enemy.

Not Much Going On In The Tampa Taxi Business - Except Corruption

74 miles in 12 hours

Taxi drivers need to drive over 100 miles a day to have a chance of making money. Lately, I am lucky to get 50-70 miles. I have never heard of that before. When you are only getting about 5-7 calls in a twelve hour period, you don't have much chance of making a living. The HCPTC had a meeting the other day about the state of the economy...Big deal. Stop letting the companies put on so many Goddamn drivers, and let some very poor people make a living. That would be the best thing you could do.

We don't have the money to give mortgages to people with no collateral loans like Michael J. Mosses (Owner of start up cab company who made his money off of ALF's like what Govenor Scott did) when he gave a $83,000 mortgage to Keven White as a mortgage (White was arrested by the FBI on corruption charges for receiving bribes from tow companies..I predict White will roll over big time to avoid prison).

What I hope is that the hobo drivers that think they have a job, need to go get a $7 an hour gig and they will be better off. They can then move out of their motel rooms and homeless shelters or stop sleeping in the back seat of the cabs.

Why does everyone want to be in the transportation business in Tampa? Why not open some other business and stop sucking the blood out of immigrants from third world countries. It sucks now, I now have nothing to lose.

The Great Stimulus Plan  For Tampa

The day after the State Of the Union Address last January Barack Obama and Joe Biden came to Tampa., Obama mentioned in his speech, the night before, that a new high speed rail system was going to be built in Florida, and he wanted to come here and take the credit for this great project.  It was part of the stimulus package and the train would go from Tampa to Orlando (eventually Miami too). He said it would employ 20,000 people over 4 years, and retain 800 workers to operate it after completion.

The photo here shows the land downtown Tampa that will be the terminal. It was taken two days ago. As you can see, 20,000 people are working hard. I think the reason the President is dropping in his poll numbers is because he does not get the urgency people feel when they are out of work. They need jobs, and they need them now.

Do you really think this train will ever be built. Was the President just wrong, or is he a lying sack of shit?

Jerked Around

It was hard to get to mad at this guy today. He was just trying to survive like I am. I have been driving for 14 years and I have regularly picked "Dave" up over the years. He used to live on Wisconsin ave until he was evicted. I picked him up today at the Crosstown Inn, a sort of rundown motel at Dale Mabry and Gandy.

He needed to go to Metropolitan Ministries because that is where his mail is now being delivered. I agreed to take him and pick up his Social Security check and then, take him to Amscot. Sounded simple. It got a little complicated.

He went inside the Mission, which was crowded with people picking up boxes of food and waiting in line inside for what the sign on the door said "food, money, living expenses" and other things like that.

I could not help but notice that the parking lot was full of new and late model cars. Go see for yourself. Just go by. That really pissed me off.

Many time in my life, I have had to sell a car or other things to get money to eat. These people are not making sacrifice. The ones I saw were duchies. Sell your Goddamn Car and your family can eat tonight. I don't even have a car, and I don't BEG.

The guy came out and said his check was not there and we needed to now go back to south Tampa to the Post office. He was completely ignoring the $25 on the meter.

I'm sorry folks. I am sensitive to his plight, but I cannot run the meter up to 50 or 60 bucks just on speculation that I might get paid. I took off and left the schmuck behind.

I shortly got a real fare and collected MONEY!
