I was taught by my parents the dignity of work. There is no job that is demeaning to any man. I wish the Tampa Mayor Candidate Tom Scott felt the same way. In his mind, there is work that is beneath him. I am a driver. I am proud to be a taxi driver. He seems to believe that only racist drive cabs, or something like that. The Tampa Tribune played into the comment Dick Greco made in Thursdays debate. I wonder what Scott thinks about dishwashers, bricklayers, construction workers, dog catchers, ditch diggers, electricians, garbage collectors and so forth. This attitude makes him unfit for office. I am a PROUD DRIVER for United Cab.

As you know I live in St. Pete. But, Dick Greco is the man we need as mayor in Tampa!!!
I agree with Cracker. The Greco family has been in Tampa a long time. Dora Greco used to own the old American Bar on Franklin Street. She was his aunt or something. Long live the "American" Bar. I also agree with Tim, I was proud to be in the ranks of a cab driver.
I dont think the driver comment was a derogatory towards hacks/drivers but it was an opportunist attempt of playing the race card. You see, a white man asking a black man to be his driver is racist. There can be 100 ADT commercials showing a white burglar, but if 1 shows a black burglar suddenly Jesse J is calling for a boycott until he receives a check to his rainbow coalition.
Nice blog and I enjoy the pictures.
