Its getting hot man

You got to love winter time in Florida. You can sit in the taxi while waiting for calls with the windows down. Not now. You got to idle the car and burn gas that the driver pays for. Plus, business is way down. I hate this time of year.

A peeping taxi driver

The new function on the tablet lets the driver request a call out. I only use this at night...during the day I knock on the door. This morning for instance..
I blew the horn lightly at an address on a dark street. There were no lights on inside and I wondered what kind of call this was. Where they going to the airport? Where they drunk? I got out of the taxi and knocked on the door, nobody answered.
I got back in the cab and requested a call out. Kala called and said the customers did not see me outside the house. Strange. Why didn't they answer the door? I knocked again.
From the porch I could see the street sign in the distance. I walked over to it and realized I was on the wrong street. A good way to get shot. Its happened before.
One time I could see people screwing in a back bedroom while I looked through the window. The women looked up and saw me watching (I was at the wrong house) and I got out of there guick. They may have seen the taxi speed away and wondered WTF.

Eddie got it fixed

Eddie installed Google maps on the tablet which seemed to fix the problem. I like the mapping system better and just wanted the new system to just work.

Picnic Island on Fathers Day

I went to the south end of Tampa today where the mangroves line the shore. There have been Skunk Ape sightings in the Everglades where they have been seen swimming between mangrove islands. Nothing like that today, just a beautful day and some dudes fishing.

No tradition like a new tradition

I got a ride to the Don Cesar out of Tampa International Airport TPA. Mac used to load these calls often and I would always take a picture of the hotel. Let's just say, I have been on a drought. Let's keep this tradition alive Mac and keep these $75 fares coming.

I hear Bats taxi will take you from the Don ti TPA for about half that. I hope they have a low lease.

Tablets are working fine...so far

The tablets that are being installed in all United Cabs are working great. They are mounted up front and have three clear advantages over the BlackBerry. You can see the damn things; they update automatically and the GPS navigation will guide you on all calls. This should remarkably increase our efficiency.

Ghost investigation on live internet TV

This video is a bit from the live overnight broadcast produced by Enigmatic Anomalies. They leased a century old cigar factory that many say is haunted. They positioned thermal imaging and night optic equipment throughout the factory, from the basement to the attic. The entire operation was in 'lights-out' mode. It was very compelling TV.
The first part of the show was three interviews on three topics. They were Bigfoot, UFO's and ghost. The assistant state director of MUFON was here and a representative from the Tampa Ghost Society. I was very excited to see the fine job that Kevin had done in organizing this event. It was outstanding work.
This is just the begining of better things to come. Our goals are more far reaching and we want to take this to a world wide audience. Internet TV is a good start.

The historical ghost investigation at Fort Desoto with Enigmatic Anomalies

Kevin, George and I went to Fort Desoto, an old Spanish American War fort, for some interesting research furthering the cause of enigmatic anomalies. During the miserable summer, I am now doing other forms of paranormal work while our camera traps are out in filed gathering evidence of Bigfoot.

The mosquito's were out of this world as you will see on this video. This video is exclusive to this blog and cannot be found on YouTube.

Conditions were miserable in 1898 when this fort was constructed. Disease and food shortages were common. Yellow fever was prevalent along the Gulf coast and mosquito's were in the millions on this island. Many of the men must of succomed to the factors found in living here. It is our belief that energy is still in the fort from long ago. That was the objective of this operation.

In May, 1980 the Skyway Bridge collapsed after being struck by the tanker the Summit Venture. The main span fell into the water and 37 people lost their lives. A temporay morgue was set up in the magazine hold of the fort. That is were we were going to concentrate our efforts. Other paranormal groups have reported strange things going on in there.
The magazine at the fort
We went in as the sun was begining to set. We almost immediatly got a reading on the Ghost radar of words that were very approprate for the setting. We had been speculating how the soilders were so accurate on firing 800lb shells from cannons fired with nitroglycerin ignited by an electrical charge. When we went in the readout was "Accurate" "Egypt" and "Fed." George immediately said, "Federal troups." Very creepy. later, Kevin got the word "Dead." That was after I had gotten "Hell" and Die."

You can judge for yourself what all of this means.
