Citrus County caves (post by George)

Here are some links about the caves of Citrus County. The first one has a map showing all the dry caves knows to caves.org, it's a big document but the map is on page 66, page 77.

This one is interesting. Newly discovered bad ass caves, nearby!

I just think it would be neat to find some of these caves. The cave Tim and I visited is actually called Vandal Cave. There are many. I've been in all the Dames caves entrences. Or have I? They are still discovering caves in Citrus.
I am just facinated by this. Any thoughts anyone?

Gas going up

They say its the summer grade transition that is making gas prices go up. The only thing I know is there is a breaking point in which I won't be able to operate this taxi cab. That would be somewhere over $4 a gallon. If it reaches $5, that would fundamentally change the taxi business. I hope.

Trying to get the links to work again

This blog had been down for awhile and some of the link functions have not been working. I am working on that.

Remember the Occupy Tampa hippies

The protesters began to show up after the lunch hour. I thought they would be out all day; I thought they would be camping in Gaslight Park. I hear the police will not let them, so they have to leave and return the next day. No problem, this means they can drink in the bars all night.

Most of them seem to be coming from the University of Tampa. Could it be they are just young, bored and looking for a little excitement? They should be studying finance so they can become part of that 1% they are railing about.

Hippy protesters seen from the taxi downtown Tampa
I picked up a fair that wanted to go downtown Tampa and see the protesters. At the time we were there, we really had to look hard to see them. I think for this demonstration to work, they will have to really "Occupy" the downtown area but that would mean they cannot drink, screw and order pizza. Protesting comes with sacrifice.

The movement is new and perhaps it will work, with time. I am already making some money off of this event, so that is cool. I shot a video and put in up on Youtube. You can see it here.

Occupy Tampa movement says "Fuck You Wall Street"

Remember the Occupy Tampa movement? I guess they moved on with life to become part of the one percent.

The University of Tampa

The spires at University of Tampa
I won an award with this image ten years ago. Everyone that shoots pictures just stands back and shoots the spires from a distance. The main thing you want to accomplish is to frame the spires. I had to get behind the bushes and bend way over to get the shot I wanted. It worked.

The Skyway Bridge

This time of year you can get rides out of the airport to Sarasota. The Skyway Bridge seems to be the best way to go. I've always been a little nervous crossing it. Anyway, this is from the southside.

What happened to the Malaysia jet?

We have two pilots that drive taxi, Sam and Larry. Sam believes the plane was hijacked because the ELT devices never activated and they would have in salt water. I believe it went into the ocean and these "pings" are something else. I wonder what Larry thinks. Feel free to comment.

Evidence of pig kills in the Green Swamp

This was posted on Bigfoot Evidence Blog:
"appears the daytime find was nothing compared to what Tim Fasano found at night. Check out these mutilated hogs at the location where a Bigfoot was last sighted. Fasano explains the location: "We have before gone into Bigfoot sighting areas and four animal mutilation. It cannot be a coincidence that the kills are along game trials. Evidence of unnatural death is evident. This area rural."

Tampa Nude Night starts today

Nude Night starts this evening and runs through Saturday. Nude Night is held every year in Tampa in an art warehouse north of Ybor City. Each year has a theme and in 2011, the theme was body art. One of the models was Clearwater beauty Daisy. She was painted up and walked around the warehouse with many of the other models. There were paintings, photography, and seminars on body art.

A month before the show, I had the opportunity to do a nude shoot with Daisy in a studio suite. She was professional and put a lot of effort into it so I could get some killer images for my book. One of the images of her nude, and other models, can be found at this link Glamour Models. If nudity offends you, do not go to it.

A view from inside the taxi

When do you officially become a "dirty old man?" I feel it getting closer every day. I just run my calls and have no control over who gets in. Sometimes, I am glad about who gets in.
It has been very hot in Tampa and many women are wearing summer clothes. After rolling up to a house today this well built women with a tight tank top emerged. We are talking watermelons. I wondered how she even got the shirt on.
I got a call from dispatch at that moment and was fiddling with the radio when I noticed she was trying to get into the front seat! I unlocked the door and she got in.
How I managed NOT to run into a pole or another car is beyond me. I was glad when she got out because anymore of that and I would have been a road hazard. Anyway, you got to love driving taxi.

I wrote this in 2011 before Scott Marlowe poor mouthed me on Facebook

Tim Fasano and Scott Marlowe

(I wrote this in 2011 before the Polk County bible thumping bigot in Scott took over) I had lunch today with Cryptozoologist Scott Marlowe Of Florida. Scott and I have been friends on the Internet for some time, and it was time we met.

Scott has always been supportive of my research, and has defended me against false claims made about me. He has taken the time to talk to me often on the phone, and has got to know me as a friend. He is a very good guy.

Scott is a college teacher, writer, and crypto investigator with some new and novel ideas about finding the Florida Skunk ape. I was looking forward to meeting Scott Marlowe.

We met at a diner in Winter Haven and shook hands. I felt like I had known him for a long time and that this was not the first time we had ever been together. We were very comfortable talking about anything. Scott has been around this game for a long time and knows just about everyone in Bigfoot. He warned me about the politics, and trolls, and how to deal with them. Scott had a club sandwich with slaw and I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries.

Scott is also a film maker, and has appeared in many documentaries about paranormal stuff. He has nine published books and has been doing field research for decades. He is still active and very motivated to find the big hairy guy in Florida. He also believes eco-tourism is the wave of the future and experts are needed as guides.

Scott has a new book out called The Cryptid Creatures Of Florida in which Charlie Carlson does the introduction. The book not only deals with the skunk ape and the Sasquatch being in Central Florida, but also ice age animals that may still be around. As you know, I have put forth a theory that the giant ground sloth may still be in the jungle.

We layed out a map of Florida and Scott showed me the migration patterns of the skunk ape and the stationary locations of permanent colonies. Working smart and not waisting you time in areas that are not colonies is what a researcher needs to do. His input was invaluable to me. My game has now gone to a new height because of the information I received from Scott.

We will be working together in November in a known transitional area to catch them on the move. It does seem people don't want that to happen and are trying to undermine the outing. That will never happen. We will go private if we have to and protect our research and locations. We do not need gate crashers.(I wrote this in 2011 about Scott Marlowe. I had nothing but praise for him. He subsequently decided he did not believe I was fit to be a Bigfoot researcher. He questioned why I attended a nudest camp when I was over weight. He also questioned why I had once photogaphed Playboy models (he never mentioned the nature and wildlife images I specialize in). He did not asses my body of Bigfoot work. He judged me on moral grounds. He is judgementalon matters unrelated to cryptid research.)

Fireworks over Bayshore

Tampa does this often, they will light off fireworks for no particular reason. Bayshore seemed to be the direction this was coming from and it was professional in nature. Maybe it was to celebrate the beautiful weather we have been having. Too bad 2,000 flights were delayed today from the northeast because of snow blizzards.

Bucs new logo

The new logo and colors of the Tampa Bay Bucs are in display on the side of Raymond James stadium. I like the dark motifs and think it is mire menacing. With Lovie Smith at the helm, the Bucs may be looking at many years of stability like in the Tony Dingy era.

Over the Skyway Bridge again

I got a ride to Sarasota out of TIA today from a cameraman from NFL films (I could do his job). There is a practice combine down there that is showing potential draft picks how to put on the best show. He was part of a documentary about this. Crossing the bridge was the hard part. I did like the $154.00 I got for the ride.

Epic job by Tampa's Enigmatic Anomalies

The DNA results on these skulls could shake the underpinnings of established science. Kevin and Teri (close friends of mine) did a great job on this video. They are taking their channel to dizzying heights.
